Danielle’s love of nutrition and supplementation began as a child growing up in Novato California with monthly trips to a health food store and home-cooked meals her mother created every day. Her active lifestyle of swimming, yoga and dancing has made maintaining good health a lifelong goal. Through her own trials dealing with chronic pain, digestive, sleep and depression challenges, she’s learned that knowing your needs is your greatest asset, listening to your own body’s innate healing wisdom is a sure path to vitality. Now over a decade at Farmacopia, she’s become ‘an herbalist by osmosis’. She feels fortunate to be near and to blend the over 200 herbal tinctures every day, understanding that herbalism is intuitive and that an herb can present itself to you at the right time. Danielle is passionate about collaborating with colleagues, practitioners and their clients in their search to find the best nutritional, supplemental or herbal medicine.

After losing her home in the October fires of 2017, her experience helps support her customers and community who were impacted and are recovering from grief, PTSD and anxiety. When not fervently stocking the shelves with unique, quality products she balances her work with volunteer gardening, somatic practices of Feldenkrais and Gestalt, contemporary dance and writing poetry, inculcating in her a conviction that optimal health and healing begins from the inside out.
